Why Advocacy Matters
Adolescent & Young Adult (AYA) cancer often falls through the cracks. Biological differences, gaps in research funding, lack of tailored support services, and unique psychosocial needs mean that young people with cancer often face challenges that are different from those of children or older adults. At Jabs For Life, we believe these issues are not just problems waiting to be solved—they demand action.
A Few Ways We’re Helping
Community Efforts:
Empowering AYAs, survivors, families, caregivers, and allies to use their voices—through storytelling, public events, social media, and grassroots campaigns.
Partnering with medical institutions, other nonprofits, and advocacy coalitions to amplify impact.
Education & Awareness:
Producing accessible resources (online, in print, in person) that spotlight AYA-specific concerns and solutions.
Hosting workshops, webinars, and speaker events to share what we know—and what still needs attention.

AYA Facials with Friends:
Our first session, hosted with our friends at Nickel City Skin Spa and Boutique, was a huge success. The evening was filled with laughter, relaxation, and meaningful conversations among attendees who understand what it means to walk this journey.
We’re planning additional sessions for early November, details and locations coming soon!
